The All-New 2021 Nissan Rogue

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is all-new and features some big changes from the 2020 model. The redesign of the Rogue is sure to draw attention and turn some heads while on the road. There have been changes made under the hood with a new engine. Inside the cabin, you will notice some upgrades as well. When you compare the exterior features of the 2020 Nissan Rogue vs. the 2021 Nissan Rogue you will quickly see where the styling has improved. All of the upgrades to the 2021 Nissan Rogue are designed to improve safety and comfort and make the entire experience more fun for drivers and passengers.

Engine Difference

The 2021 Nissan Rogue has an updated engine. The new standard engine on the 2021 Rogue is a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder. What does the new engine mean for the driver? It means that the 2021 Nissan Rogue has more horsepower and torque than the 2020 model. The 2021 Rogue has up to 181 horsepower and torque that comes in at 181 lb-ft. The transmission that you will find in the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a continuously variable transmission and comes standard for 2021. An all-wheel drive is an option for the 2021 version of the Rogue but the front-wheel-drive comes standard. There are also a number of driving modes available on the Rogue including off-road, snow, eco, and sport modes. The changes under the hood to the 2021 Nissan Rogue make it even more fun and powerful to drive than previous models.

Inside The Nissan Rogue

The Rogue’s new interior borrows styling cues from both the ‘Altima’ family sedan and the recently redesigned Sentra compact sedan. Thoughtful storage cubbies, a bi-level dashboard, and a squared-off shift knob are rich-looking design elements that improve usability and give the interior a modern flair. Cloth seating is standard but the mid-range SV model can be had with optional faux-leather upholstery; the upscale SL and Platinum Rogues get genuine leather, the latter being a semi-aniline hide with quilted stitching. Three-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel will all be available features. Passenger space inside is about the same as the outgoing model, but cargo capacity behind the rear seat has decreased slightly from 39 cubic feet to 37 cubic feet.

Entertainment & Connectivity

Standing strong and advanced on the dashboard is a touchscreen infotainment system. While an 8.0-inch unit is standard on the 2021 Rogue, a larger 9.0-inch screen is available on SL and Platinum models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standards, and high-end features, such as in-dash navigation or a Bose stereo system, are optional. A 12.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster is unique to the Platinum model and it’s bundled with a large 10.8-inch head-up display and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

What's New With The 2021 Nissan Rogue

There are a number of differences inside the cabin when you compare the 2020 and 2021 models of the Nissan Rogue. Upgrades to the Nissan Rogue allow for a quieter ride by blocking out more road noise, optional quilted leather seats, and ambient lighting to create an inviting interior environment. The 2021 Nissan Rogue is full of innovative storage options such as armrest storage and space below the floating console. Passengers in the front and back seats also have the option of controlling the temperature in their area with dual and tri-zone temperature control available in the new Rogue. The 2021 Nissan Rogue also saw improvements to the tech features such as a 9-inch touch-screen, fully digital dashboard, and an optional heads-up display so you can stay informed with your driving information without looking away from the road. The changes inside the cabin of the 2021 Nissan Rogue are clear improvements over what the 2020 Rogue had to offer.

Which One To Buy

The mid-level SV model offers the best mix of features for the money. It adds niceties such as 18-inch aluminum wheels, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree exterior camera system, and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode. We would spring for the SV Premium package too, which adds a panoramic sunroof, a power-operated rear liftgate, roof rails, and faux-leather upholstery. Front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is optional on all trims for an additional $1400 dollars.

Re-Design Of The Rogue

The redesign of the 2021 Nissan Rogue also impacts the exterior of the vehicle. LED lights are used for both the headlights and taillights to provide improved visibility and styling. The double V-motion grille on the front of the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a change from the 2020 Rogue that provides a welcomed update to the exterior. On the back of the 2021 Rogue are changes that include a new spoiler and name badge displaying the Rogue name. There are also some exciting new exterior paint options for the newest Nissan Rogue. The exterior changes to the 2021 Nissan Rogue elevate this small SUV to the next level of style.
